A shooting inside Westwood Hills Elementary School in Waynesboro, Virginia, wounded one adult Wednesday morning. Police contained the scene, accounted for all students, teachers, and staff, and evacuated the campus. No children were hurt. Families were reunited at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Mt. Vernon Street, and the public was told to stay away while investigators cleared the building.

Those precautionary measures were later lifted.
